Privacy policy
The short version
We store what your studio needs to run: your account, your customers, their measurements and orders, and your records of money. We use it to provide Clothiq and nothing else. We don't sell it, we don't advertise with it, and no other studio on Clothiq can see it.
1. Who is responsible for what
For your own account — your name, email, business details and billing records — [Registered company name] is the data controller.
For your customers' data — their names, phone numbers, addresses, measurements and order history — you are the controller and we are your processor. You decide what to collect and why; we hold it on your behalf and act on your instructions. That means you are responsible for telling your customers what you record and for having a lawful basis to record it.
2. What we store
| Your account | Name, email, password (hashed, never readable), role, when you last signed in. |
|---|---|
| Your business | Studio name, phone, email, address, currency, logo, invoice settings. |
| Your customers | Name, phone numbers, email, address, city, gender, birthday, how they found you, your notes. |
| Measurements | Body measurements you record, with the date taken and who took them. |
| Work | Orders, garments, fabric, stock movements, tailors and their pay records, deliveries, appointments. |
| Money | Payments your customers made to you, and your own subscription payments to us. |
| Photos | Any style references, fabric swatches or logos you upload. |
| Technical | Server logs including IP address and pages requested, kept for security and debugging. |
Body measurements are personal data and can feel sensitive. Treat them the way you would want yours treated — and note that we never require you to record anything you would rather not.
We never take card details. Payment is by bank transfer, so no card number ever reaches our servers.
3. Why we store it
- To run the service you signed up for — performance of a contract.
- To take payment and keep billing records — contract and legal obligation.
- To keep it secure and working — our legitimate interest in a safe, functioning service.
We do not use your data, or your customers' data, for advertising or profiling.
4. Who can see it
Every studio on Clothiq is separated at the database level. No other studio can read, search or reach your records.
Inside your studio, you decide: owners see everything, staff accounts never receive money data at all.
Our team can access studio data only where necessary to run the service — confirming a bank transfer, fixing a fault you have reported, or complying with a legal obligation. It is not browsed casually.
We share data with a small number of service providers who host and run Clothiq — currently [Hosting provider] for servers and databases, and [Email provider] for email. They act on our instructions and cannot use your data for their own purposes.
5. Where it is kept
Your data is stored on servers in [Region]. If we ever move or copy it to another country, we will make sure the transfer has an appropriate legal basis and we will update this policy.
6. How long we keep it
For as long as your studio exists. We do not delete your records for non-payment — an unpaid studio becomes read-only, not erased.
Ask us to delete your studio and we will delete it permanently within 30 days, apart from billing records we are legally required to retain. Export anything you want to keep first: every customer, measurement card, job ticket, invoice and receipt prints or saves as a PDF.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask for it in a portable form. Write to us and we will respond within 30 days.
If one of your customers asks you to correct or delete their record, you can do that yourself inside Clothiq — and ask us if you need help.
If you think we have handled your data badly, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to your data-protection regulator.
8. Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. There is no advertising, no tracking pixels and no third-party analytics on the app. That is why you have not been asked to accept cookies.
9. Security
Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access between studios is separated in the database itself rather than only in the interface. No system is perfectly safe, and we will not pretend otherwise — if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you promptly and tell you what happened.
10. Changes
If we change this policy materially we will tell you by email and on your billing page before it takes effect.
